The Makita DJV186Z is an 18V LXT cordless jigsaw with a D-handle body, built for professional use. It cuts up to 65 mm in wood and 10 mm in aluminium, while the brushless motor delivers 0–2900 strokes per minute with variable trigger control. Supplied as a body-only tool without battery or charger, so it pairs with your existing 18V LXT packs.
Brushless motor for longer life and more cuts per charge
The brushless motor in the Makita DJV186Z runs without carbon brushes, cutting wear and boosting battery efficiency. That means more cuts per charge and a longer service life during daily site work.
Variable 0–2900 spm speed to match any material
Speed is controlled smoothly from the trigger and a dedicated dial, so you set the pace to the material. Lower speeds suit metal and plastic, higher speeds power fast cuts in wood.
Three orbital settings and 45° bevel for precise cuts
A selector offers 3 orbital modes plus straight cutting — aggressive for fast progress in wood, or fine for a clean edge. The base tilts up to 45° left and right for bevel cuts.
Compact D-handle body for control and visibility
The slim body with a rubberised D-handle weighs just 1.5 kg without a battery and gives a confident grip. A trim front profile improves visibility of the cutting line for accurate work.
