Permanently elastic bonding and sealing on almost any building material — even on damp surfaces.
TKK TEKAFLEX MS 40 is an MS-polymer hybrid sealant-adhesive for permanently elastic bonding and sealing of building materials, metals and plastics. It glues and seals in one step, which makes it handy for window sills, kitchen elements, roof details and joints. This is a 600 ml grey (RAL 7030) sausage pack, applied with a sausage gun.
Hybrid MS polymer for strong bonding and sealing
TKK TEKAFLEX MS 40 combines an adhesive and an elastic sealant in one, with excellent adhesion to concrete, brick, stone, wood, aluminium, steel, copper and many plastics. It cures to a flexible bond that keeps moving, so it holds even on structures exposed to vibration. The compound is chemically neutral, solvent-, isocyanate- and silicone-free, and odourless.
Grips even on damp surfaces
Its good adhesion to moist substrates lets TKK TEKAFLEX MS 40 be applied where ordinary adhesives fail. It does not slump in vertical joints and performs well even at lower temperatures. Shrinkage during curing stays below 1%, so the joint keeps its shape.
Paintable and resistant to UV and weather
Once cured, the TKK TEKAFLEX MS 40 joint can be painted with most epoxy-, polyurethane- and water-based paints and varnishes. It resists UV light, weathering and ageing, and does not cause corrosion. That makes it suitable for outdoor details as well.
Uses from the kitchen to the roof
TKK TEKAFLEX MS 40 bonds window sills and slats, mounts and seals kitchen elements, and glues boards and roof tiles. It seals joints in silos, tanks, containers and compressed-air systems, plus expansion joints in rooms where mould can form. The recommended joint width is 6 to 20 mm.
