Very high initial grab — holds heavy items in place without extra support
SIKA Sikaflex-118 Extreme Grab is a 1-component construction adhesive with very high initial tack for both indoor and outdoor use. It bonds most common building substrates, including concrete, masonry, stone, ceramics, wood, metals, glass and mirrors. Supplied in a 290 ml cartridge, it is applied with a standard sealant gun.
Very high initial tack for instant hold
Sikaflex-118 Extreme Grab grips on contact and keeps heavy parts in position without extra bracing. That means fewer props or wedges when working on vertical surfaces. For very heavy elements and overhead bonding, combine it with mechanical fixing.
Bonds almost any building substrate
Sikaflex-118 Extreme Grab sticks to concrete, masonry, stone, ceramics, wood, metals, glass and mirrors. One cartridge covers indoor and outdoor repairs, from shelves and sills to façade details. For non-porous and porous surfaces Sika recommends prepping with the matching primer or activator.
Strong, elastic bond with low emissions
Based on a silane-crosslinked polymer, the adhesive forms a strong yet elastic bond that tolerates movement. It is phthalate-free and very low emitting, rated EMICODE EC 1PLUS. Once cured, it withstands service temperatures from −40 °C to +80 °C.
Easy application and good workability
The cartridge fits a standard sealant gun and the adhesive is applied in dots or triangular beads. It skins over in about 15 minutes and reaches full strength after 24–48 hours at +23 °C. For tidy work, remove fresh excess immediately with Sika Remover-208.
