The LACTOFOL BOTANIKA substrate for acid-loving plants is a ready-to-use 10-litre peat mix with a strongly acidic reaction, made for acidophilic plants such as azalea, rhododendron, magnolia, cyclamen and blueberry. Use it when potting or repotting in containers or when planting out in the garden. One 10 L bag fills several medium pots or one young shrub planting hole.
Low pH that keeps leaves deep green
The acidic reaction unlocks the iron in the mix so acid-loving plants can absorb it fully. Foliage stays a rich green and the risk of chlorosis — the yellowing typical of acidophilic plants — drops.
Peat, wood fibre and compost hold moisture longer
The organic matter soaks up water when you irrigate and releases it gradually to the roots. Wood and coconut fibres keep the mix loose, well drained and airy around the root ball.
Ready start with NPK + Fe nutrition
The substrate comes pre-enriched with NPK fertiliser and iron, so new plantings get going without extra preparation. For plants with a long growing season, feed every 2–3 weeks with a dedicated acid-loving plant fertiliser.
Clean mix, free of pests and pesticides
The blend is produced from ecologically clean raw materials and carries no pests or disease agents. It contains no inert fillers, pesticides or toxic substances, which makes it suitable for indoor container plants too.
