BIOCVET Organic Substrate for Herbs & Spices (20 L) is a ready peat-and-compost mix enriched with natural zeolite, made for seedlings, herbs and aromatic plants. Use it straight from the bag, with no mineral fertilisers added.

Sphagnum white peat for strong roots

The 0–6 mm fraction holds moisture while still letting air reach the roots, which matters most in the shallow pots on a windowsill. The peat is free of weed seeds and pests, and its buffering keeps the root zone stable.

Compost and zeolite in the mix

Compost makes up 65% of the volume, adding humus and microbial life, while the 2.5–5 mm zeolite holds nutrients through cation exchange and releases them gradually with each watering. Organic matter content is at least 95%.

Neutral pH 6.2–7.0 suited to culinary herbs

Basil, parsley, mint, oregano and thyme all thrive in exactly this range. Nitrogen sits at 120–210 mg/l and potassium reaches 850–980 mg/l, enough to carry plants through the first weeks after planting; organic feeding is recommended afterwards.

Wetting agent against dried-out peat

A fiba zorb wetting agent lets water spread evenly even when the surface has dried out. Absorption is 200–350 ml per 100 g of dry matter, and the 0–10 mm structure spreads easily in pots and window boxes.
