Ambient air does the heating: household hot water at an average heat pump draw of just 0.239 kW.
The TESY HPWH 3.2 150 from the AquaThermica Compact line is a wall-hung air-to-water heat pump water heater in a 1682 mm vertical casing. The heat pump alone takes water to 60 °C, while the built-in 1.5 kW electric element extends this to 70 °C. With load profile L and 178 l of mixed water at 40 °C, it comfortably serves a three to four person household.
A+ energy class, 884 kWh a year
The unit draws heat from the room air and transfers it to the tank through a condenser wrapped around the outside, never in contact with the water. Its domestic hot water COP is 3.4, with the heat pump averaging 0.239 kW in operation.
Intake air from -5 °C to +43 °C
Install the water heater in a room kept between 4 °C and 40 °C, such as a utility room, laundry or basement. Air can be routed through Ø125 mm ducts, with the centrifugal fan moving 235 m³/h at 60 Pa of available pressure.
BOOST mode for a fast full-tank recovery
Running the compressor and the electric element together brings the whole tank from 10 °C to 55 °C in 4 hours 20 minutes with 7 °C intake air. Maximum power draw in this mode is 1.83 kW at 7.9 A, protected by a 16 A breaker.
Photovoltaic system connectivity
The controller accepts a 24 V DC signal from a relay in the PV installation and starts heating during hours of self-generated power. The LED panel shows the operating modes and lets you programme time zones.
Automatic anti-Legionella cycle and magnesium anode
Periodic high-temperature disinfection runs automatically, and the self-diagnostic system reports fault codes. The tank is protected by a Ø32x270 mm magnesium anode, insulated with 50 mm of rigid polyurethane and rated for 8 bar.
