The Makita LH1040 is a table top mitre saw with a 260 mm blade and a 1650 W motor, built for professional use. It combines a mitre saw and a table saw in one body, so you can make angled cuts and rip panels with a single tool. It suits joinery and installation work where accurate mitre and rip cuts are needed.
Two machines in one body
The Makita LH1040 operates in two modes — as a mitre saw for angled cuts and as a table saw with a work table for ripping. This combination saves workshop space and covers a wider range of jobs with one tool. Switching between the two modes makes the saw versatile for joinery and installation projects.
260 mm blade and 1650 W motor for confident cutting
The 260 mm blade and 1650 W motor deliver a cutting depth of up to 40 mm in table saw mode at 90°. A no-load speed of 4800 rpm keeps the cut clean in timber and panels. The Makita LH1040 runs on mains electric power.
Soft start and mechanical brake for safety
Soft Start limits the initial jolt when the tool is switched on and protects the motor. A mechanical brake stops the blade quickly after the trigger is released, improving both safety and productivity. Double insulation adds to operator protection on the Makita LH1040.
Built-in dust collection for a cleaner workspace
The built-in dust collection system carries chips away from the cut line. This keeps the cut visible and the workspace cleaner during use. On the Makita LH1040 the system can also be connected to a dust extractor.
45° left bevel for angled cuts
The head of the Makita LH1040 tilts up to 45° to the left for bevel cuts. Together with the mitre function this allows compound angle cuts when fitting skirting, frames and trim. The 260 x 405 mm table supports the workpiece during ripping.
