The DeWalt DWS780-QS is a professional sliding compound mitre saw for precise cutting of timber, trim, skirting and frames at an angle. A 1675 W motor drives a 305 mm blade, while the sliding rail extends the cutting width. Double bevel to the left and right handles complex compound cuts without flipping the workpiece.
XPS shadow-line system instead of a laser
The DeWalt DWS780 XPS system casts an LED shadow of the blade exactly onto the cut line. You see where the blade will land before you start, with no laser to calibrate. Marking work goes faster and mis-cuts drop.
Double bevel, 49° left and right
The DeWalt DWS780 bevels to both sides, so compound cuts are made without turning the workpiece over. That helps with skirting and crown moulding where every angle must line up. Positive stops lock onto the common angles.
Sliding rail for wide workpieces
The DeWalt DWS780 sliding rail moves the 305 mm blade across the full width of the workpiece, so wide boards and panels can be cut. No-load speed reaches 3800 rpm for a clean finish. The saw handles both solid timber and laminated panels.
Efficient dust extraction
The DeWalt DWS780 channels chips toward the dust port and the supplied bag to keep the cut line clean and visible. The workspace stays tidier during long sessions. The port also accepts a workshop vacuum.
