The STIHL MS 212 petrol chainsaw pairs a 38.6 cm³ engine with a 35 cm guide bar for firewood, yard and garden upkeep and timber work around the workshop. The 3/8"P saw chain handles limbing, bucking logs and felling smaller trees. It is built for homeowners and light trade use.
2-MIX engine that stretches every tank
Four transfer channels swirl the fuel-air mixture before ignition, so combustion is more complete and both consumption and emissions drop. The engine meets EU Stage V exhaust requirements and is designed for straightforward servicing. It runs on a petrol and two-stroke oil mixture.
Anti-vibration system for less fatigue
Buffer and spring elements separate the engine from the handles and cut the vibration reaching your hands. Declared values are 3.1 m/s² at the left handle and 3.7 m/s² at the right. The saw sits steadier during longer firewood sessions.
Single-lever control with combi-lever stop
Every function is set with one hand from a single lever, and after switch-off the lever returns to the operating position by itself. A warm engine restarts immediately after a break in the work. The stop button sits under the thumb of the working hand.
Side chain tensioning and tool-free tank caps
The tensioning screw is reached from the side through the sprocket cover, so tightening or swapping the chain is quick and away from the cutters. Bayonet caps on the fuel and oil tanks open in a couple of moves without tools. The translucent oil tank shows the chain oil level at a glance.
Carburettor compensator extends cleaning intervals
The compensator equalises pressure and keeps power, exhaust quality and fuel use nearly constant as the air filter gradually clogs. The filter needs cleaning only when a noticeable drop in power appears. A diagnostic socket lets your STIHL dealer read operating hours and service information.
