The STIHL RM 655.0 VS petrol self-propelled lawn mower is built for large domestic lawns, with a recommended mowing area of 2,500 m² and a 53 cm cutting width that cuts down the number of passes. Its 161 cc four-stroke engine delivers 3.40 hp, driving a multi-blade that both cuts and mulches, while clippings go into a 70 l catcher with a fill-level indicator.
Vario self-propel with stepless speed control
A lever on the handlebar sets the ground speed anywhere between 2.6 and 4.6 km/h without interrupting the cut. Engine revs stay steady as you change pace, which helps on slopes and uneven ground.
Multi-blade cuts and mulches without a blade change
The specially shaped cutting edges chop clippings into fine particles that return to the lawn as natural fertiliser. With the catcher fitted, the airflow channels the grass efficiently into the bag.
70 l grass catcher with fill-level indicator
The indicator shows when it is time to empty, and the hinged lid turns emptying into a single movement. The handlebar is mounted on one side only, so the bag lifts out and back in from the front without walking around the mower.
Central cutting height adjustment, 25–85 mm
One lever moves all four wheels and a scale shows the current setting. The range covers both a closely kept lawn and the first cut after a long break.
Aluminium deck, 49 kg
The deck is powder-coated aluminium: corrosion-resistant and rigid under prolonged use. The folding handlebar adjusts for height without tools and packs the mower down compactly for storage.
