The STIHL RM 248.3 petrol lawn mower is a push mower with a four-stroke EVC 205.0 engine and a sheet-steel deck, built for medium-sized lawns. Cutting, collecting, side discharge and mulching are all covered as standard, with seven cutting heights set from a single central lever.
46 cm cutting width for lawns up to 1200 m²
The EVC 205.0 engine has an easy-start system and fires up with minimal effort, cold or warm. Smooth-running wheels with a dedicated tread pattern hold a straight line and manoeuvre easily around trees and beds.
Four mowing modes included as standard
A multi-blade, mulching insert and integrated side-discharge flap come with the mower. Clippings go into the box, spread sideways across the lawn, or are mulched back for natural fertilisation – no extra attachments to buy.
Central cutting-height adjustment with 7 settings
One lever moves all wheels together across a 20–100 mm range, with a scale showing the current setting. Switching between a first cut after a long break and a fine summer trim takes seconds.
52-litre grass box with fill-level indicator
The airstream packs clippings densely so the full volume is used, while the indicator signals the right moment to empty. Side slats direct air towards the ground to keep dust down, and the box opens wide for quick emptying.
Sheet-steel deck and folding handlebar
The torsion-resistant construction takes stone impacts and years of outdoor use. Quick-Fix tensioners fold the handlebar without tools for compact storage, and the super-soft grip absorbs vibration during longer sessions.
