ISOMAT AK-FIRE Refractory Mortar for Firebricks
Cement-based mortar for firebricks with outstanding resistance to high heat.
ISOMAT AK-FIRE is a refractory cement mortar for building and grouting firebricks. This mortar is made for high-temperature areas such as fireplaces, ovens, wood stoves, barbecues and chimneys. It suits both indoor and outdoor use and reaches fire reaction Class A1.
Built to handle high and changing temperatures
ISOMAT AK-FIRE withstands high and constantly changing temperatures without cracking. The mortar is made for hearths, combustion chambers, fireplaces, ovens and chimneys, where ordinary adhesives fail. Its fire reaction is Class A1 to EN 13501-1.
Strong adhesion and moisture resistance
ISOMAT AK-FIRE delivers high early and final adhesion strength together with moisture resistance. The mortar reaches compressive strength category M25 and a flexural strength above 6.0 N/mm². This keeps joints solid and long-lasting under heavy use.
For building and grouting all firebricks
ISOMAT AK-FIRE suits building and grouting of all firebricks and fire-resistant ceramic materials. The mortar also restores refractory masonry and joints. Coverage is around 5.0 kg/m² for 20 x 10 x 3 cm bricks with a 1 cm joint.
Easy mixing at +5°C to +35°C
ISOMAT AK-FIRE comes as a ready cement powder that is mixed with water only – about 4.75 l per 25 kg bag. The mortar is applied at substrate temperatures from +5°C to +35°C. Its grey colour blends naturally into fireplace and oven masonry.
