SikaCeram®-225 Flexible Tile Adhesive, 25 kg (C2TE S1)

Flexible cement-based tile adhesive for indoor and outdoor use, with a long open time for comfortable work.

SikaCeram®-225 is a flexible C2TE S1 cement-based tile adhesive for floor and wall ceramic tiles, indoors and outdoors. It comes as a 25 kg grey bag and is ready to use after mixing with water, applied in layers up to 10 mm. The adhesive suits porcelain stoneware, natural stone, swimming pools, industrial floors and substrates with underfloor heating.

Flexible tile adhesive with high slip resistance

SikaCeram®-225 is classified C2TE S1 to EN 12004 — an improved, flexible cement adhesive with reduced slip and extended open time. Its slip is just 0.1 mm, so tiles stay precisely placed even on vertical walls. With a transverse deformation of 3.9 mm, the adhesive qualifies as deformable (S1) and copes with substrates that move.

For indoor and outdoor use, even over underfloor heating

SikaCeram®-225 performs both inside and outside, on horizontal and vertical surfaces. Its high polymer content makes the adhesive especially effective on cement screeds and substrates with hot-water underfloor heating, where thermal expansion and shrinkage occur. It is resistant to water and rain, so it also suits swimming pools and heavily loaded industrial floors.

Excellent adhesion to concrete, screeds, brick and stone

SikaCeram®-225 develops very strong adhesion to most substrates — concrete, cement mortar, stone, brick and plasterboard. Its initial tensile adhesion strength is 3.2 N/mm², far above the ≥ 1.0 N/mm² required by EN 1348. The bond holds after water immersion (1.6 N/mm²) and after freeze/thaw cycles (1.1 N/mm²).

Easy water-only mixing and long workability

SikaCeram®-225 mixes easily: 7.25 ± 0.25 l of water per 25 kg bag, blended with a paddle mixer at up to 500 rpm until smooth. Open time is around 30 minutes and the mix stays workable for up to 6 hours. Floor tiles can be grouted after 24–36 hours and wall tiles after 24 hours.
