Cementitious tile adhesive

Mapei Adesilex P9 Cementitious Tile Adhesive 25 kg, Grey

High-performance C2TE adhesive with extended open time and no vertical slip.

Mapei Adesilex P9 is a C2TE cementitious tile adhesive in a 25 kg grey bag for interior and exterior installations. It bonds all types of ceramic tiles, mosaics and porcelain stoneware on floors, walls and ceilings. The powder is simply mixed with water into a ready-to-use paste.

C2TE class for a strong, lasting bond

Mapei Adesilex P9 is an improved (2), slip-resistant (T) cementitious adhesive (C) with extended open time (E), classified as C2TE to EN 12004. The adhesive is a grey powder of cement, fine aggregates, synthetic resins and special additives. It forms an excellent bond with all substrates commonly used in construction.

Thixotropic adhesive with no slump on walls

Adesilex P9 is highly thixotropic and can be applied to vertical surfaces without slumping or letting tiles slip. This makes work on walls and ceilings easy, even with heavier formats. The adhesive hardens without significant shrinkage.

Extended open time and long workability

Mapei Adesilex P9 offers an extended open time of around 30 minutes, giving more freedom when setting tiles. The pot life of the mixed adhesive is over 8 hours. Grouting is possible after 4–8 hours on walls and after 24 hours on floors.

For interior and exterior floors and walls

Adesilex P9 is designed for interior and exterior bonding of all types of ceramic tiles, mosaics and porcelain stoneware on floors, walls and ceilings. It is also suitable for spot bonding of insulating materials. The surface takes light foot traffic after 24 hours and is fully ready for use after 14 days.

Easy mixing with water

Mapei Adesilex P9 is easy to prepare by mixing 34–36 parts water per 100 parts powder — that is 8.5–9 litres of water per 25 kg bag. The resulting paste has a density of about 1500 kg/m³ and a pH of 13. The result is a smooth, easy-to-apply mix.
