Baumit Baumacol Basic – Tile Adhesive 25 kg
Strong and cost-effective cement adhesive for ceramic tiles – water- and frost-resistant.
Baumit Baumacol Basic is a C1-class cement tile adhesive (25 kg) for laying ceramic tiles with the thin-bed method. This water- and frost-resistant adhesive works on walls and floors, indoors and outdoors. One 25 kg bag covers roughly 8 m² at about 3 kg/m².
C1 cement adhesive for ceramic tiles
Baumit Baumacol Basic is a mineral powder adhesive of class C1 to EN 12004. Its blend of cement, sand and additives delivers extra stability and easy workability. The adhesive is made for laying ceramic tiles or for use as a thin-bed mortar.
Water- and frost-resistant for walls and floors
Baumacol Basic is water- and frost-resistant, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It bonds ceramic wall and floor tiles, mosaic and building boards, plus lightweight panels, glass-fibre boards and rigid foam boards. For interior work, tiles up to L ≤ 30 cm and A ≤ 0.09 m² are recommended.
Easy mixing and comfortable application
A 25 kg bag of Baumacol Basic is mixed with about 7.0 l of clean water into a smooth paste using a low-speed stirrer. Open time is at least 20 minutes and the ready mix stays workable for around 4 hours. The adhesive goes on in two layers with a 6×6 mm or 10×10 mm notched trowel, depending on the tile back.
Economical coverage and quick readiness
Baumacol Basic uses about 3 kg/m² depending on the substrate and tile type, so a 25 kg bag is a cost-effective choice. The tiles are ready for foot traffic after at least 24 hours. Fresh surfaces should be protected from mechanical and thermal load for about 48 hours. Apply at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C.
