The DIMPLEX DX521 is a portable 2000 W electric convector heater for rooms up to 15 m². It works by natural convection, without a fan, and the temperature is set on a mechanical thermostat. At 4.350 kg it moves easily between rooms and plugs into any socket via its 1.5 m cord.
Two heat outputs: 1.2 kW and 2 kW
The lower setting maintains an already warm room, while full output handles the initial warm-up or colder days. Selection is by a mechanical switch, with no display or menus to navigate.
Thermostat range from 7 °C to 35 °C
The low end suits unoccupied rooms in winter, where the goal is simply to keep the chill away. The control cycles the element on and off automatically once the room reaches your setting.
Overheat cut-out and tip-over switch
A thermal cut-out interrupts power if the airflow is blocked, for example by a covered grille. Should the heater be knocked over, the built-in sensor shuts it down.
Freestanding design that moves room to room
The convector stands on its own feet and needs no wall mounting. It measures 58.50 x 23.30 x 44.30 cm and the 1.5 m cord reaches a wall socket without an extension lead.
