BOKASHI ORGANKO Biogen is the 1 kg fermentation activator for Bokashi Organko kitchen composters. Sprinkled in layers over food scraps, it turns peels and leftovers into a compost base and a liquid plant feed.
Fermentation instead of rotting
The effective microorganisms in the bran break food waste down anaerobically and suppress putrefaction. The composter stays odour-free and the nutrients in the waste are preserved.
Wheat bran, molasses and live cultures
The base is wheat bran mixed with molasses (sugar and water) and enriched with lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, photosynthetic organisms and enzymatically active fungi. Every ingredient is natural and garden-safe.
Ready compost in half the time
Traditional composting takes three to six months; with the bokashi method the fermented mass breaks down in soil in about half that time. Alongside the compost base you collect bokashi liquid, diluted at roughly 1:200 before watering.
Made for Bokashi Organko composters
The bran is intended for the Bokashi Organko kitchen composter range, including Organko 2, Essential and XL. It also works for soil improvement and plant feeding.
