The UNITEC STRECH GRIP oil filter wrench (item 445289) loosens and tightens oil filters and screw fittings up to 10 cm in diameter. Instead of teeth or jaws it uses an adjustable elastic strap, so it also works on chrome or painted surfaces. Handy for car oil changes, workshop jobs and household fittings.
Adjustable elastic strap for diameters up to 10 cm
The strap tightens itself around the body and beds down along the whole circumference instead of pressing on a few points. One wrench covers filters of different sizes, with no cups or inserts to swap.
Leaves surfaces undamaged
The rubber strap leaves no marks and does not deform a thin-walled filter housing, which matters when the same filter has to go back on. The same reason makes it usable on chrome fittings, pipe connections and stubborn household caps.
Non-slip handle for firm torque
The handle keeps its hold even with oily hands, and the long lever arm gives leverage in the tight space around the engine. Loosening and tightening use the same single-hand movement.
