GARDENA 2760-20 Drain Valve, 3/4" Male Thread
Empties the buried pipework by itself once the system is shut down for winter.
The GARDENA 2760-20 drain valve belongs to the GARDENA Pipeline and Sprinklersystem range and lets residual water out of buried pipes. It is fitted at the lowest point of the installation and has a 3/4" male thread.
Automatic drainage below 0.2 bar
The valve opens on its own as soon as pipe pressure drops to roughly 0.2 bar, and stays shut while the system is running. No section has to be emptied by hand after the tap is closed.
Protection against frost damage
Water left in buried pipes is the usual cause of split fittings over winter. Draining before the cold sets in keeps pipework and connectors intact through the dormant season.
Installed in coarse gravel at the lowest point
For reliable discharge the valve is bedded in washed coarse gravel that absorbs the released water. Positioning it at the lowest point of the run gives the line a natural fall towards it.
Works with 25 mm x 3/4" fittings
The 3/4" male thread screws into female-threaded system parts: the 25 mm x 3/4" connector (2761-20), T-piece 2790-20, L-piece 2784-20 and angle piece 2764-20.
