VITEX STEGANOL Bituminous Primer 5 L is a general-purpose asphalt-based varnish that waterproofs and protects concrete and metal surfaces. STEGANOL is brush-applied, dries quickly and forms a protective, highly water-resistant membrane. It also serves as a primer for bonding bituminous membranes.

Asphalt varnish for lasting waterproofing

VITEX STEGANOL bituminous primer is built on a special asphalt base with solvents. The varnish forms a protective membrane that keeps water out and shields the structure from moisture.

Wide use — from roofs to foundations

STEGANOL waterproofs terraces and roofs, basement walls, foundations, sewage pipes and tanks made of concrete or metal. One product covers most home and construction waterproofing jobs.

Primer for bonding bituminous membranes

Diluted with 20% petrol, VITEX STEGANOL works as a primer and delivers excellent bonding of bituminous membranes to the concrete substrate. It prepares the base before a waterproofing membrane is laid.

Fast drying keeps the job moving

STEGANOL becomes touch dry in 30–60 minutes and can be recoated after 3–4 hours. The quick cycle lets you finish the coats within the same day.

Excellent adhesion to many materials

VITEX STEGANOL bituminous primer bonds firmly to concrete, lightweight concrete, metal, wood, stone, brick and plasterboard. The varnish resists water and dilute acid and alkali solutions.
