One-component elastic waterproofing under tiles — for bathrooms, kitchens and balconies.
TKK HydroBlocker WRC Coating is a ready-to-apply, one-component liquid waterproofing for bathrooms, kitchens, shower cabins, balconies and terraces. Applied directly beneath the final tile, stone or mosaic covering, it forms a continuous watertight layer. The 5 kg pack covers roughly 2 m² when applied in the recommended two coats.
One-component and ready to apply
TKK HydroBlocker WRC Coating is an acrylic-based ready mix — no mixing of components, apply straight away. It cures at room temperature as the water evaporates, making the job easy for both pros and DIY users.
Elastic membrane that bridges cracks
A high polymer content keeps the cured HydroBlocker WRC layer durable and flexible in changing conditions. The membrane bridges cracks wider than 0.75 mm, so the substrate stays protected even under slight movement.
Excellent adhesion to many substrates
HydroBlocker WRC Coating bonds firmly to concrete, cement screed, plasterboard, brick and OSB panels. Apply it with a roller, brush or trowel in two coats, laying the second at a right angle to the first for full coverage.
For interior and exterior use under tiles
The waterproofing is certified to EN 14891:2012 for interior and exterior use beneath ceramic tiles bonded with C2-grade adhesive. It withstands temperatures from -5°C to +75°C, making it suitable for balconies and terraces too. Not for permanently submerged areas such as pools and tanks.
Free of solvents and isocyanates
TKK HydroBlocker WRC Coating contains no solvents or isocyanates — a plus when working in enclosed rooms like bathrooms. For porous substrates the maker recommends priming with HydroBlocker WRC Primer, and sealing corners and joints with HydroBlocker Tekatrak tapes.
