Flexible cementitious waterproofing that stays elastic even down to -20°C

MAPEI MAPELASTIC is a two-component cementitious waterproofing (component A + component B) for balconies, terraces, bathrooms and swimming pools. The two parts blend into a smooth mix that spreads easily with a trowel. The membrane stays flexible even in cold conditions and works under ceramic, mosaic and stone finishes.

Flexible membrane, elastic down to -20°C

MAPELASTIC stays flexible down to -20°C and bridges fine cracks in the substrate, so the waterproofing does not split under movement or cold. That makes it dependable on open balconies and terraces exposed to temperature swings.

For balconies, terraces, bathrooms and pools

MAPELASTIC is made for waterproofing balconies, terraces, bathrooms and swimming pools, and can even be applied over existing coverings. One product covers both outdoor areas and the wet rooms in the home.

Easy application with a trowel

Once mixed, the two components of MAPELASTIC form a smooth, workable paste that spreads easily with a trowel. The minimum thickness is 2 mm in two coats, with consumption of about 1.7 kg/m² per mm of thickness.

Protection for concrete from CO2 and UV

MAPELASTIC shields surfaces against CO2 penetration (carbonation) and resists UV rays, extending the life of reinforced concrete structures. Its high vapour permeability lets the substrate breathe.

Compatible with ceramic, mosaic and stone

Ceramic, mosaic and stone finishes bond directly onto the cured MAPELASTIC layer, making it part of a complete tiling system. Strong adhesion creates a solid link between substrate, waterproofing and covering.
