CERESIT CT 19 is a water-based bonding primer (Betonkontakt) that forms a grip layer to improve adhesion before laying tiles, screeds and plasters. It works on both absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces, from smooth concrete and ceramic tiles to OSB boards. Supplied in a 3 kg pack, it is applied with a brush or roller, indoors and outdoors.
Grip layer for difficult surfaces
CERESIT CT 19 creates an abrasive bonding layer that improves adhesion to the substrate. It is especially useful on smooth, non-absorbent surfaces such as polished concrete, ceramic tiles, mosaics and OSB boards, where ordinary primers struggle to grip.
Tile-on-tile without removal
CERESIT CT 19 lets you lay new tiles straight over old ones, without tearing out the existing surface. The primer is also recommended for tricky substrates with adhesive residue, dispersion and epoxy paint coatings (indoor use only).
Thixotropic – no dripping on walls
CERESIT CT 19 is thixotropic, so it will not run off vertical surfaces, making wall work far easier. It is applied in a thin, even coat with a brush or roller, and its fast drying speeds up the next stages of the job.
Indoor and outdoor, solvent-free
CERESIT CT 19 is a solvent-free, water-based primer suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Apply it before levelling screeds, filling and tiling, on horizontal as well as vertical surfaces.
