Baumit BetonKontakt is a ready-to-use liquid concrete primer that creates a reliable bond between smooth concrete and gypsum plaster. Its quartz-sand content roughens otherwise slick concrete so the plaster keys in firmly. It is applied undiluted, straight from the container.
Bonding bridge for gypsum plaster on concrete
Baumit BetonKontakt links smooth formed concrete and precast ceilings with the gypsum plaster on top. The primer is developed specifically for gypsum-based machine plasters, where adhesion to dense concrete is normally poor. As a result the plaster holds securely even on low-absorbency surfaces.
Quartz sand for a rough, grippy surface
The quartz sand in Baumit BetonKontakt leaves a slightly rough film that the following plaster can mechanically key into. This texture is exactly what smooth concrete lacks and the reason plaster otherwise peels away. The outcome is a durable, stable bond between the two layers.
Ready to use and easy to apply
Baumit BetonKontakt comes ready to use and is applied undiluted with a roller or brush. No mixing or added water is needed, which saves time and dosing mistakes. Consumption is about 0.4 kg/m², so the 1 kg pack is ideal for small areas and repairs.
