MAPEI Primer G Deep-Penetrating Primer, 1 kg

Consolidates the surface and boosts adhesion before painting, tiling and self-levelling floors.

MAPEI Primer G is a water-based, synthetic-resin deep-penetrating primer that prepares absorbent surfaces before finishing work. It consolidates the substrate and improves the adhesion of paints, adhesives and levelling compounds. This 1 kg pack is diluted with water according to how absorbent the surface is.

Water-based synthetic resin for a solid coating

MAPEI Primer G is water-based with very low VOC emissions and almost no odour, making it well suited to work in enclosed rooms. Once applied, the primer dries to a flexible, compact and glossy film that consolidates the surface.

Better adhesion before paints, adhesives and renders

MAPEI Primer G improves the adhesion of smoothing compounds, paints, wallpaper adhesives, tile adhesives and renders. The primer is also ideal for treating gypsum and anhydrite surfaces before laying ceramic tiles and natural stone.

Primer before self-levelling floors

Before applying self-levelling and smoothing compounds, MAPEI Primer G is diluted with water — 1:1 on cement-based substrates. Used ahead of sprayed plasters, the primer stops the substrate from absorbing water too quickly and prolongs workability.
