ISOMAT UNI-PRIMER is a ready-to-use, water-based deep-penetrating acrylic primer that stabilises porous surfaces before painting, tiling or laying self-levelling floors. It soaks into the pores of the substrate and acts as a bonding layer between the base and the coat that follows. It suits both interior and exterior use.
Deep penetration that strengthens the base
ISOMAT UNI-PRIMER penetrates deep into the pores and stabilises weak or crumbling renders, so the coat on top rests on a solid base. The polymer emulsion binds dusty particles and reduces the risk of peeling. It works on concrete, masonry, renders and plasterboard.
A versatile base under paints, adhesives and floors
ISOMAT UNI-PRIMER delivers excellent adhesion between water-based paints, polymer renders, tile adhesives and porous substrates. It is also used before AQUAMAT-ELASTIC two-component elastic waterproofing or the ISOMAT SL-17 liquid membrane under tiles. One primer covers several construction jobs.
Ready to use and easy to apply
ISOMAT UNI-PRIMER comes ready to use — just stir and apply by brush, roller or spray, with no thinning. The surface should be dry and clean, and coverage is about 100–200 g/m² depending on absorbency. With a low VOC content below 30 g/l, it is also suited to indoor work.
