CERESIT CT 17 is a water-based deep-penetrating primer that prepares absorbent surfaces before tiling, floor pouring, filling and painting. The primer soaks deep into the substrate, reinforces the surface and reduces its absorbency. It suits both interior and exterior work on walls, floors and ceilings.

Deep penetration that reinforces the base

CERESIT CT 17 soaks deep into the structure of the substrate and closes the capillary pores, reinforcing the surface from within. It binds dust and leaves a firm, stable base for the layers that follow. It works on lightweight and aerated concrete, gypsum and cement renders, plasterboard, screeds and stone coverings.

Reduced absorbency for even top layers

The primer lowers the water absorption of the base and prevents adhesives, fillers, screeds and paints from drying out too fast. The result is even adhesion and more economical use of the following materials. CT 17 also improves bonding to the substrate.

Fast drying and easy application

CERESIT CT 17 is applied straight with a brush or roller without thinning, while highly absorbent surfaces can be diluted with clean water at 1:1. The primer dries quickly — when tiling over cement bases, work can continue just 15 minutes after priming. The working temperature ranges from +5 °C to +25 °C.

For indoor and outdoor use

The solvent-free, water-based formula of CERESIT CT 17 is suitable indoors and outdoors — on walls, floors and ceilings. It repels moisture and forms a solid base under thermal-insulation boards, ceramic tiles and floor coverings. A versatile choice for all absorbent mineral substrates.
