Deep-penetrating primer

CERESIT CT 17 Deep-Penetrating Primer, 5 kg

Strengthens the surface and cuts absorption before tiling, filling and painting.

CERESIT CT 17 is a water-based deep-penetrating primer that prepares all absorbent (porous) surfaces before tiling, filling, painting and self-levelling floors. It soaks deep into the substrate, reinforces the surface and reduces how much the next layer is drawn in. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use on plaster, concrete, screeds, aerated concrete, plasterboard and other mineral bases.

Deep penetration for a solid base

CERESIT CT 17 soaks deep into the substrate and seals the capillary pores, reinforcing the surface. Weak, dusty areas become a stable base for tiles, plaster and paint. The formula is solvent-free.

Lowers absorption and improves adhesion

CT 17 reduces the substrate's water uptake, which stops adhesives, fillers and paints from drying out too fast. The result is even application and stronger bonding of the following layers. It saves material and lowers the risk of cracking.

Fast drying and easy application

CERESIT CT 17 is applied straight onto a dry, clean surface with a brush, roller or block brush. On cement and cement-lime bases, tiling can start just 15 minutes after priming. On highly absorbent surfaces it can be thinned with water at a 1:1 ratio.

Indoor and outdoor on many surfaces

CT 17 works on walls, floors and ceilings — plaster, concrete, aerated concrete, gypsum and gypsum-fibre boards, anhydrite and cement screeds, ceramic and stone coverings. It also suits substrates with underfloor heating. Working temperature is from +5°C to +25°C.
