The GARDEX VINE GX pruner uses an anvil cutting system: the blade presses the branch against a flat plate, delivering extra force on dry, hardened wood. It handles branches up to 20 mm thick, while the 270 mm overall length gives you solid leverage in the vineyard or orchard.

The flat anvil absorbs the blade pressure and keeps the branch from sliding sideways. That is why the shears cope with old vine canes and hardened twigs where bypass blades tend to jam.
