CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL fibre-reinforced adhesive & base coat 25 kg

One mortar for both bonding and reinforcing thermal insulation boards on facades.

CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL is a fibre-reinforced adhesive and base coat for external thermal insulation systems, used both to bond polystyrene (EPS, XPS) and mineral wool boards and to build the mesh-reinforced base layer. It comes as a 25 kg dry mix that is prepared with water on site, and it is part of the certified CERESIT Ceretherm facade systems.

Two jobs, one mortar — bonding and reinforcing

CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL bonds the insulation boards to the wall, and the same mortar forms the reinforced base coat. Using one product for both stages of facade insulation simplifies supply and work on site.

Compatible with EPS, XPS and mineral wool

CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL suits expanded and extruded polystyrene (EPS, XPS) boards as well as stone (mineral) wool. It is applied to load-bearing, compact and dry substrates such as masonry and concrete, cleaned of dust and grease.

Reinforced layer with fibreglass mesh

For the base layer, the fibreglass mesh is embedded in the fresh mortar and smoothed evenly. The fibres added to CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL strengthen the coat and help create a solid, durable base for the finishing render.

Part of the CERESIT Ceretherm systems

CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL is a component of the certified CERESIT Ceretherm external insulation systems and features in the Aquastatic, Self Clean, Solar Protect and Visage solutions. The mortar is used both on new buildings and when renovating older facades.

Easy mixing and application at +5 °C to +25 °C

The dry mix is poured into water and stirred to a homogeneous mass. Application should be done in dry conditions with substrate and air temperature between +5 °C and +25 °C, protected from strong direct sun and rain until cured.
