CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL fibre-reinforced adhesive & base coat, white, 25 kg

One fibre-reinforced mortar for bonding and reinforcing EPS, XPS and mineral wool boards.

CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL is a fibre-reinforced adhesive and base-coat mortar for thermal insulation boards, developed for the certified CERESIT Ceretherm facade systems. It both bonds polystyrene (EPS, XPS) and mineral wool boards and forms the glass-mesh reinforced base coat. Supplied in a 25 kg bag in white, it is mixed with water into a homogeneous mass before use.

Two jobs, one product — bonding and reinforcing

CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL bonds the insulation boards to the wall and then forms the glass-mesh reinforced base coat. A single 25 kg bag covers both key stages of installing facade insulation.

Fibres for a strong, impact-resistant layer

The fibre content gives the mortar high bond strength and impact resistance. The finished facade withstands mechanical loads better and stays intact over time.

Compatible with EPS, XPS and mineral wool

CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL works with expanded and extruded polystyrene (EPS, XPS) and mineral wool boards. It is part of the certified CERESIT Ceretherm systems for external thermal insulation of masonry.

Resistant to frost and temperature changes

The cured CERESIT THERMO UNIVERSAL layer withstands frost and temperature swings, making it suitable for external walls. Apply in dry conditions with a substrate temperature between +5 °C and +25 °C.

For new facades and energy renovation

The mortar suits both new facades and the renovation of older ones, including energy-efficiency upgrades. It is applied to wall surfaces and concrete cleaned of grease, dust and anything that reduces adhesion.
