The STIHL FSA 57 cordless grass trimmer runs on a 36 V battery from the STIHL AK system and arrives ready to work, complete with an AutoCut C 3-2 mowing head, an AK 10 battery and an AL 101 charger. It is built for small lawns and lawn edges along paths, fences and trees, covering up to 625 m of lawn edge or 125 m² of lawn on one charge with the AK 10.

28 cm cutting width for lawn edges

The AutoCut C 3-2 nylon line head holds a constant high speed, keeping the cut even in denser grass. A bump guard in front of the head protects tree trunks and fence panels when you work right up against them.

Line refill without opening the head

Fresh line feeds in from the outside and winds on by turning the knob, with no tools needed and the head staying on the shaft. Working length is released by tapping the head on the ground at full speed.

Adjustable shaft and loop handle to match your height

Shaft length adjusts between 1490 and 1690 mm via a lock button, and the loop handle slides into place with a star knob nut — no tools required. The rubberised control handle absorbs part of the vibration, rated 4/4 m/s² left/right.

74 dB(A) at the operator's ear for noise-sensitive areas

The electric drive produces no exhaust fumes and starts at the pull of the trigger once the interlock is released. That makes the trimmer suitable for residential streets and early hours when a petrol machine would not be welcome.

AK 10 battery and AL 101 charger included

The 36 V / 72 Wh lithium-ion battery clicks into two positions: an intermediate one for transport, clear of the contacts, and the working position. It fits every tool in the STIHL AK cordless system, so one battery also powers a mower, hedge trimmer or saw from the same range.
