The Makita DUR193Z is an 18V LXT cordless line trimmer with a 260 mm cutting width and 1.65 mm nylon line. It ships as a bare unit, so any battery and charger from the existing LXT range can be used.
Runs on the full 18V LXT battery range
The trimmer accepts Makita 18V LXT lithium-ion batteries — the same packs used across drills, grinders and garden tools in the system. Supplied without battery or charger, it slots straight into an existing LXT kit.
5-position cutting head for edges and walls
The head locks at 0°, 15°, 30°, 45° and 60° to reach under fences, along kerbs and across sloping ground. The bump-and-feed nylon head releases fresh line with a tap on the ground, with no stop and no dismantling.
Telescopic shaft 1228–1436 mm to suit the user
A quick lever changes the length, while the loop handle slides along the tube and locks with a hand wheel. Together they set a comfortable stance for longer sessions and shorten the tool for storage.
2.3 kg for controlled one-handed reach
No-load speed is 7,800 min⁻¹, keeping the line taut when working around trees, posts and garden furniture. A hanger point is provided for a shoulder strap on larger plots.
