The Makita DKP180Z is an 18V LXT cordless planer built for professional woodworking. It planes up to 82 mm wide in a single pass and removes shavings up to 2.0 mm thick for fast levelling of beams, doors and trim. Supplied as a tool only, so it runs on your existing LXT 18V batteries.
82 mm planing width for fewer passes
The Makita DKP180Z covers the full width of a standard board or door edge in one pass. The 82 mm base means fewer passes and a level, step-free surface. It is ideal for fitting doors, trim and furniture parts.
Adjustable depth up to 2.0 mm
The planing depth adjusts up to 2.0 mm via the front knob. Removing a thicker shaving speeds up rough levelling, while a fine setting delivers a smooth finish. The Makita DKP180Z also cuts rebates (shiplap) up to 9 mm deep.
Cordless 18V LXT power
The Makita DKP180Z runs on the LXT 18V battery platform, so you move freely without extension cords. It comes as a bare tool, letting you use the batteries and charger you already own. That is handy for work at height and on sites without nearby power.
