WARMCOIN WCM Underfloor Heating Mat 2.5 m², 400 W, 230 V
Warm tiled floor without raising the floor level.
The WARMCOIN WCM 2.5 m² cable heating mat is a twin-conductor electric underfloor heating system laid straight into the tile adhesive layer. It covers 2.5 m² of free floor area and works as primary or supplementary heating in bathrooms, hallways and kitchens. It must be controlled by a thermostat with a floor sensor, sold separately.
Installs in tile adhesive, no screed needed
The heating cable is fixed to a 50 cm wide glass-fibre mesh that unrolls in strips over the prepared subfloor. With a cable diameter of 2.5 to 4 mm, a 5–8 mm adhesive layer is enough to cover it. Installation in self-levelling screed is also possible.
400 W across 2.5 m² for even warmth
Output density is 160 W/m², the usual figure for heating under tiles, terracotta and porcelain stoneware. The 5.0 x 0.5 m mat covers free floor area only, never under a bath, shower tray or fixed furniture. When shaping the layout, cut the mesh only: the heating cable must never be shortened.
Twin-conductor cable with a single feed end
Connection is made at one end of the mat only, shortening the run to the thermostat and simplifying the wiring. The cold tail leads to the controller, mounted in a dry room, while the floor sensor sits in a conduit inside the floor. The circuit is protected by a breaker and a residual current device.
Kit with sensor conduit and instructions
The kit contains the WCM mat, a conduit with end cap for the floor temperature sensor, and installation and operating instructions. The thermostat and sensor are chosen separately from the WARMCOIN range. Before the adhesive goes down, measure the mat resistance and compare it with the factory value.
