The MAKITA UC4041A is a mains-powered electric chainsaw with an 1800 W motor and a 40 cm guide bar, built for firewood prep, pruning and general timber cutting around the house and garden. Chain tension is set by hand with a side lever, and the automatic oil pump keeps the cutting attachment lubricated while you work. Supplied with a 40 cm bar, a 3/8" chain and a bar cover.
Tool-free chain tensioning
A side lever and dial let you correct tension on the spot, with no spanner or screwdriver needed. An oil level window shows when a top-up is due; the tank holds 200 ml.
1800 W motor in transverse layout
The transverse motor layout keeps the body narrow and balances the saw around the front handle. A flat motor housing end means the saw stands steady on the ground between cuts.
Mechanical chain brake and double insulation
The front hand guard triggers the brake in a kickback situation, while the run-down brake stops the chain once the trigger is released. Double insulation means no earthing is required when working from an extension cord.
Metal spike bumper for cut control
The large metal spike digs into the log and acts as a pivot as the bar enters the wood. Soft grips damp vibration, measured at 4.7 m/s² on the front handle.
