The Makita DUC353Z is a professional-grade cordless chainsaw running on two 18 V LXT batteries combined into a 36 V system. It pairs a 35 cm guide bar with a 20 m/s chain speed and XPT dust- and water-resistant construction. This item is the bare tool — batteries and charger are not included.
1,100 W brushless motor with petrol-class output
Makita rates the output as equivalent to a 30 cc petrol engine. The variable-speed trigger lets you ease into the cut and then run at full chain speed when bucking thicker logs.
35 cm bar with 3/8" x 0.043" chain
The narrow-kerf chain reduces drag in the timber and saves battery charge over a series of cuts. The saw accepts bars from 25 to 40 cm, so the setup can be matched to the job.
Automatic oiling: 200 ml tank with flow adjustment
Oil flow is adjustable to suit timber type and temperature, and the sight glass shows the level without stopping work. The chain and bar come off via a tool-free handwheel.
Chain brake and metal spike for control
The front guard triggers the brake on kickback, while the bucking spike bites into the wood to steady the saw. The rubberised front handle can be gripped from above for vertical cuts and from the side for horizontal ones.
Runs on the full 18V LXT battery range, 1.5 to 12 Ah
Two batteries of the same series are required, and any existing 18V LXT packs and chargers work straight away. Separate indicators show the charge of each battery.
