The STANLEY FATMAX SFMCW220B-XJ is a cordless random orbit sander from the 18V V20 range, built around a 125 mm sanding pad. It comes as a bare tool, so you can run it on V20 batteries you already own or add a battery and charger separately.

Runs on STANLEY FATMAX V20 18V batteries

The sander shares the same lithium-ion battery platform as every other tool in the V20 system. If you already own a V20 drill or another V20 tool, its battery fits straight on. Battery, charger and carry case are not included.

Dust collection to a bag or a vacuum

Dust is pulled through the holes in the pad into an integral dust bag, which twists off for emptying. Remove the bag and a vacuum hose connects in its place, keeping both the workpiece and the work area noticeably cleaner.

12,000 OPM for fast material removal

The random orbit action combines rotation with oscillation, removing material quickly while leaving a swirl-free finish. The sander is designed for wood, metal, plastics and painted surfaces.

Low-profile build with a dust-sealed switch

A low profile and a net weight of 1.020 kg make the sander easier to control and reduce vibration. The switch is dust-sealed to stand up to long sessions in fine sanding dust.
