Makita BO004CGZ 40V XGT Cordless Random Orbit Sander
Cordless fine sanding with a 150 mm pad and a brushless 40V max XGT motor.
The Makita BO004CGZ cordless random orbit sander is part of the 40V max XGT platform, built for fine sanding and polishing of wood, metal and painted surfaces. It runs a 150 mm round pad at a variable 6,000–10,000 orbits per minute. Supplied as a bare tool (Z) — without battery or charger — so you can power it with your existing 40V max XGT batteries.
Brushless motor for longer life and more power
The brushless motor in the Makita BO004CGZ runs without carbon brushes, extending tool life and reducing wear. It holds steady speed under load and squeezes more work out of each charge. Ideal for extended surface-prep sessions.
Variable speed 6,000–10,000 OPM for any material
Stepless speed control lets you match the tool to the job — lower speed for delicate surfaces, higher for fast stock removal. The Makita BO004CGZ combines rotation with a 3.0 mm orbit for a fine, swirl-free finish. It handles wood, metal and lacquer equally well.
AWS wireless dust-extractor start-up
The Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) links the Makita BO004CGZ wirelessly to a compatible dust extractor that powers on and off with the tool. A dust port and dust bag keep the work area clean. Less airborne dust means a cleaner finish and better visibility.
Compact, lightweight body for fatigue-free work
At roughly 0.96 kg (body only), the Makita BO004CGZ is easy to control one-handed overhead or on vertical surfaces. Its compact size helps in tight spots. Long sanding sessions become far more comfortable.
