BOSCH Professional GVT 1000-15 Voltage Tester, 1000 V AC/DC, IP65

LED, buzzer and vibration feedback — confirms absence of voltage even with drained batteries.

The BOSCH Professional GVT 1000-15 two-pole voltage tester checks and measures AC and DC voltage up to 1000 V, and adds continuity testing, single-pole phase testing, phase rotation testing and RCD (30 mA) trip testing. Built to IEC EN 61243-3:2014, it is intended for qualified electricians and ships with a protective pouch and two 1.5 V LR03 (AAA) batteries.

Three signals whenever voltage is present

The LED field shows the voltage type (AC or DC) and the automatically detected step among eight levels from 12 V to 1000 V. The buzzer and vibration get through noisy switch rooms and gloved hands, with stronger vibration above 200 V. Voltage above 50 V AC/DC is indicated even with no batteries fitted.

Detachable handle for one-handed socket testing

The L1 handle detaches from the L2 display handle and clips back on for socket work, so both probes enter with one hand. Separated, the 125 cm lead reaches distant terminals inside large distribution cabinets. The probe cap carries an integrated earth pin for unlocking British sockets.

Continuity, phase, rotation and RCD tests in one unit

Continuity testing across 0–100 kΩ checks cables, switches, relays, lamps and fuses. Phase rotation testing works from 100 V AC to 440 V AC at 50/60 Hz and shows direction as L or R. Pressing both buttons together trips a healthy 30 mA RCD at 230 V AC.

IP65 housing for site conditions

The protection rating covers dust and water jets, and the cable-to-body joint is reinforced against pull-out. The working range runs from -10 °C to +50 °C and the tester weighs 408 g without batteries. A built-in work light delivers over 1500 lux at 10 cm and switches off automatically after about 5 minutes of inactivity.

Three-second self-test before each job

Separate the handles and hold the two probe tips together for 3 seconds: every indicator lights, the buzzer sounds and the unit vibrates. Power-up and shut-down happen automatically on contact with and removal from the test object, with no power switch. A flashing battery symbol below roughly 2.3 V warns before accuracy is affected.
