KWB 012100 Moisture Meter for Wood and Building Materials
Two scales in one device — 6 to 44% wood moisture and 0.2 to 2.0% building moisture.
The KWB 012100 moisture meter reads moisture content in timber, screed, concrete and masonry through two measuring pins pressed into the material. Readings appear on the LCD display alongside the ambient temperature, and the unit runs on 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries.
Separate scales for timber and building moisture
The left-hand scale on the display covers timber, the right-hand one covers substrates such as screed, concrete and brick. One device therefore serves both stock checks on boards and wall checks before plastering or laying flooring.
Pin measurement straight from the material
The two electrodes are pressed into the surface and the value appears immediately on the display. The approach suits renovation work, water-damage checks and incoming timber inspection, where a concrete figure matters more than a visual guess.
Accuracy check with the built-in test aid
Before use the pins are placed on the tester field — a sound unit reads 19% on the display. The check takes seconds and confirms the reading is trustworthy before critical measurements.
