BOSCH Professional D-tect 120 Wall Scanner – Radar Detector, 120 mm Depth

Radar detection of metal, live cables, water pipes and timber studs before you drill.

The Bosch Professional D-tect 120 wall scanner reads concrete, drywall and universal substrates, locating hidden objects up to 120 mm deep with ±10 mm accuracy. It runs on a 12 V Li-ion battery or four standard AA cells, with three wall modes to match the surface in front of you.

Spot measurement for narrow surfaces

The detector registers an object the moment it is placed on the surface — no run-in sweep, no calibration. That makes readings possible on columns, edges and narrow drywall strips where sweeping scanners cannot work.

Live cable identification down to 60 mm

Beyond electrical wiring, the scanner picks up magnetic metals such as iron, non-magnetic metals such as copper, water-filled plastic pipes and timber studs to 38 mm. The material type appears on the display before the drill goes in.

Centre finder with object direction indicator

The centre finder shows which way to move until the object is pinpointed. Deviation to the centre is ±10 mm, and two adjacent objects are separated from 50 mm apart.

Dual Power – 12 V Li-ion or 4 x AA

Power source switches to suit the site: a 12 V Bosch Professional Li-ion battery or ordinary LR6 alkaline cells. Auto shut-off after roughly 5 idle minutes preserves the charge.
