The Bosch Professional GVD 1000-17 non-contact voltage tester detects AC voltage from 24 V to 1000 V at sockets, cables and distribution boards without touching the conductor. It carries an IP67-rated housing and a CAT IV 1000 V measurement category, and ships with two AAA batteries. At 0.056 kg with a belt clip, it rides along all day on the job.

Two sensitivity modes: 90–1000 V and 24–1000 V AC

High mode filters out weak induced fields and flags only genuine mains voltage, while low mode picks up the lower levels found on signal and control lines. The 50/60 Hz frequency range covers domestic and industrial networks alike.

Triple alert — glowing tip, buzzer and vibration

The tip glows green, amber or red according to proximity and voltage level. Vibration comes through in noisy surroundings where the beeper is drowned out, and the colour alone is readable through gloves and safety glasses.

IP67 housing that survives a 2 m drop

The rubberised sheathing absorbs impacts from drops of up to two metres. Dust and water-immersion protection means it keeps working on construction sites, in wet shafts and outdoors.

Self-test every 5 seconds for a result you can trust

The tester verifies its own electronics at start-up and then continuously in the background. No signal therefore means genuinely no voltage, rather than a flat battery or a failed circuit.

Built-in flashlight and belt clip

The LED light picks out fuse labels and terminals inside a dark board or an unlit room. The clip holds the tester in a vest pocket or on the belt, ready for a one-handed check.
