61.8 m delivery head from a 3-inch borehole — water to the house and garden without a buffer tank.
The WILO Actun INITIAL 3.03-16-230 is a submersible borehole pump for 3-inch wells and larger, with a 78 mm body and 16 hydraulic stages. It delivers up to 4.3 m³/h of clean water at a maximum head of 61.8 m and operates at immersion depths of up to 150 m. Supplied with a capacitor box housing the start capacitor, motor protection and on/off switch, plus a CEE7/7 plug.
61.8 m head for house and irrigation
Sixteen radial stages lift water from a deep borehole straight to the pressure vessel or the irrigation lines. The optimal duty point is 2.9 m³/h at 43.95 m, where the pump runs most efficiently in everyday use.
78 mm body fits 3-inch boreholes
The slim profile allows installation in casings too narrow for 4-inch pumps — a common situation with older wells. Installation is vertical and the discharge port has a G 1¼ thread.
Stainless steel casing, shaft and motor
The hydraulic casing, shaft and motor housing are stainless steel, while the impeller is made of polyoxymethylene (POM), which withstands abrasive load. Permissible sand content is 150 g/m³.
Built-in check valve and IP68 protection
An integrated check valve holds the water column in the riser after shutdown and prevents backflow shock. The oil-filled single-phase motor uses self-lubricating bearings and a mechanical seal with IP68 protection; the capacitor box is rated IP44 and must be mounted in a dry location.
