Its 700 mm overall length allows a full two-handed swing, while the wedge-shaped head drives the log apart along the grain. Made to DIN 7234, with a 200 mm head and a total weight of 1.825 kg.
Wedge-shaped head that splits the log apart
The MAROSA axe head has a wedge profile 130 mm wide, so it pushes the wood apart along the grain instead of sticking in it. That means fewer repeat swings when preparing wood for a stove, fireplace or garden fire.
700 mm wooden handle for a two-handed swing
The long wooden handle gives you a two-handed grip and higher head speed at impact. Wood absorbs part of the shock on contact with the log and keeps the familiar, traditional feel in the hand.
