The Fiskars X-Series X18 universal axe measures 445 mm and handles limbing, chopping and carving with ease. Its compact size suits confident one-handed work around the yard, on carpentry jobs and when preparing kindling. A locking blade sheath is included for safe carrying and storage.

Double-hardened forged steel keeps its edge

The X18 features a forged, double-hardened blade that holds its precision-ground edge through long sessions. A thin, wide edge slices cleanly through fresh, resinous woods such as spruce and pine. Proprietary grinding improves contact with the wood, so each stroke takes less effort.

Low-friction coating glides and resists rust

A low-friction coating helps the X18 blade enter and release the wood without sticking. The same coating protects the steel from rust during outdoor work and storage in a shed or cabin.

FiberComp shaft with an undetachable head

On the X18 the head is press-fitted to the shaft in an undetachable joint that will not work loose under impact. The FiberComp shaft is ultralight and virtually unbreakable, absorbing overstrikes instead of splintering the way wooden handles do.

Curved SoftGrip handle for a comfortable hold

The ergonomically curved handle keeps your wrist in a neutral position and reduces fatigue over repeated strokes. Textured SoftGrip gives a secure hold even with gloves, while the balanced weight channels power into the blade.
