The STIHL AX 15 P universal forestry axe measures 730 mm and carries a 1.45 kg head — a size you can swing one-handed and carry all day in the woods. It handles de-limbing, felling and splitting firewood or trimmed logs with ease. The coated C60 steel head is permanently bonded to the handle.
Fibreglass-reinforced polyamide handle for a long service life
The STIHL AX 15 P handle is made of fibreglass-reinforced polyamide, so it stays tough and weather-proof instead of drying out like wood. Leave the axe in the shed or the boot of the car between jobs and it is ready to work.
C60 steel head, inseparably fixed to the handle
The axe head is forged from coated C60 steel, giving it good sliding properties as it enters the wood. Head and handle are permanently joined, so the connection stays solid under impact. Never strike the axe against steel.
Non-slip grip and balance close to the head
The lower handle section is non-slip coated for a secure hold even with damp gloves. With the centre of gravity close to the head, weight distribution works in your favour and saves energy over many consecutive strokes.
