The DeWALT DCB1880-XJ is an 18V XR Li-Ion battery pack built for professional use across the DeWALT 18V XR cordless platform. It is sold as a bare battery, so it slots straight into a kit you already own.
Tabless cells push more power to the tool
Tabless lithium-ion cells cut internal resistance, so more energy reaches the motor. You get higher overload capacity and tool speed that holds up under load. Less heat build-up also means fewer thermal cut-outs in the middle of a job.
8.0Ah capacity for long runtime
Drilling, cutting and grinding sessions run longer between swaps. One distributor reports around 60% more cuts than a 5.0Ah pack. At roughly 1 kg, it suits circular saws, angle grinders and rotary hammers.
3-LED fuel gauge and fast charging
A three-LED fuel gauge shows the remaining charge at the push of a button, without fitting the pack to a tool. The battery accepts up to 16 A charging current on a compatible DeWALT XR fast charger.
Built-in protection against overheating and deep discharge
Onboard electronics guard against overheating, overload and deep discharge to extend cell life. Li-Ion chemistry has no memory effect and virtually no self-discharge, so you can top up at any time and the pack holds its charge in storage.
