The OSRAM LEDriving SL C5W LED car bulb in the 41 mm length with SV8.5-8 base replaces a conventional C5W festoon lamp in the cabin, boot, glovebox or number plate light. It delivers 70 lm at 6000 K on a 12 V system and comes as a single bulb in a blister pack.
70 lm of cool white light at 6000 K
The white tone sits close to daylight instead of the yellowish cast of a halogen festoon lamp. Items in the cabin or boot are easier to make out, and the interior takes on a more modern look.
SV8.5-8 base and 41 mm length for a direct swap
The bulb drops into standard spring-clip C5W holders with no rewiring or modification. Check the length of the outgoing lamp first: this version fits 41 mm holders, not 31 or 36 mm ones.
0.75 W draw and a 5000-hour service life
LED technology uses up to 80% less energy than a standard C5W lamp — handy for number plate lights or door lamps that stay on. The rated life is 5000 hours, so awkward-to-reach fittings need servicing far less often.
CANbus compatible, off-road use only
The lamp is CANbus compatible and in most vehicles will not trigger a bulb-failure warning. It has no ECE approval, so per the manufacturer it must not be used in exterior lighting on public roads — it is intended for interior, boot and off-road applications.
