The Philips VisionPlus H7 (12972VPB1) is a 12 V / 55 W halogen headlight bulb with a PX26d base for low beam, high beam and front fog lights. Each pack holds one bulb rated at 1500 lm with a colour temperature of up to 3250 K, and the bulb carries ECE type approval for standard H7 headlamp housings.
25 m longer beam for earlier reaction
Obstacles, road signs and the brake lights ahead register earlier in the driver's field of view. Philips states that stopping distance at 100 km/h can be cut by up to 3 metres.
UV-quartz glass that withstands thermal shock
The envelope is made of UV-quartz glass that copes with extreme heat and vibration and survives cold water splashing onto a hot bulb through a damaged headlamp. The UV coating also protects plastic headlamp lenses and reflectors from yellowing.
Replace in pairs for symmetrical light
Philips recommends changing both headlight bulbs at the same time so that output stays even across the road. This pack contains a single bulb, so two are needed for a complete replacement.
ECE type approval for road-legal use
Production is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and QSO 9000, and the lamp meets ECE homologation requirements for road use. Philips also supplies lighting as original equipment to carmakers.
